All I can say is “what a great time to be alive”. I got a call from Mike late this afternoon after watching Cole Hamels make quick work of the Atlanta Braves and we met at the Trenton boat ramp at 4pm. After catching 6 herring we decided to just go for it. Every herring equaled a Striper hookup and we were out of there not 90 minutes later. Dieter caught 92 (!) Shad in Lambertville today, so basically the fishing is wide open and on fire right now. Tomorrow I have the MTV crew on my boat and the hardest part right now is figuring where to take them and what to catch. Water temperature in Trenton was 47 today and we’re supposed to have an 80 degree day tomorrow. That should bust this even more wide open. Pics and video:
