July 14 Fluke Report–Banner Day

Today was the best day of Fluke fishing I’ve had since I started guiding. I had the Alex Perfect charter on the boat today up from Philadelphia and they put over 100 fish in the boat with 17 keepers. The morning started off with a hard NE wind and very choppy, wet conditions but the fish didn’t mind one bit. As the afternoon went on the seas laid down a bit and we were able to fish our favorite deep water structure and the keeper to throwback ratio was incredible. I don’t think we went more than 2 minutes all afternoon without someone landing a fish. Flounder fishing has been phenomenal this summer so far but the Sea Bass are still nowhere to be found.
