Today’s trip was originally booked for Friday but we decided to cancel because of the weather. Today was a whole different story, you couldn’t ask for more beautiful conditions with calm seas, bluebird skies, and light winds making for a perfect drift. We put 10 keeper Fluke in the boat along with a gorgeous Sea Bass and had non-stop action with many quality fish that were just a little bit short. We saw a variety of fish at the fileting station back at the marina and it seems like everyone had success today on the water, both inshore and offshore. Even though it was a paying charter I wanted to stay out all day and keep fishing. Great fishing and nice people.
Also, congratulations to my good friend Dante and the MJ fishing team on their 229 lb. Bigeye Tuna in the Beach Haven White Marlin Invitational this weekend. That fish earned them a nice big paycheck and Dante deserves it as much as anyone I know.
